Low Side Cycle Leakage — Sealed System Problem
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: CL E
How to Fix
- 1
Use SVC App Step 1 to determine if this is a sealed system problem or a customer usage issue.
- 2
Check PCB output voltage to rule out PCB failure. Replace PCB if defective.
- 3
Measure time for pressure equalization after power off. Over 15 minutes equalization time indicates restriction.
- 4
If equalization pressure is above 40 psi, suspect bad compressor. Replace compressor.
- 5
If equalization pressure is 40 psi or less, refrigerant has leaked.
- 6
Check low pressure side parts (evaporator, suction pipe) for leaks first.
- 7
If no low side leak found, check high pressure side parts (condenser, drier).
- 8
If leak on low pressure side found, replace the leaking part, the drier, AND the compressor (moisture may have entered the low pressure system).
- 9
After repair, wait until freezer reaches 14F — error code clears automatically.
- 10
If temperature is normal and E CL still shows, use forced deletion: press F key + R key 3 times with door open.
- 11
Install UV drier for next visit to confirm no further leaks.
